2020 Decanter Wine Awards

After a month of judging, the long-anticipated results of the 2020 Decanter World Wine Awards have just been released and it has been another strong showing from our wines.

We are delighted to report that two of our wines, the 2013 Nesso and 2012 Vers, both won silver medals while our two white wines, the D'oro and Lasa, took home bronze medals. Tantalisingly, our Lasa just missed out on the silver by one point.

What the judges had to say

  • Nesso: Plenty of character with dark, spicy and leafy berry fruits on the nose. Dense texture with vibrant acidity and peppery finish.
  • Vers: The nose displays dark fruits, lots of incense and some savoury aromas. Interesting and complex, ending with a dash of spice.
  • D'oro: Subtle floral notes with touches of nectarine and peach. Fairly uncomplicated but juicy and fresh.
  • Lasa: Notes of citrus, green melon, minerals, and delicate white flowers. Silky texture with mouthwatering green apple.
